Mix baking soda and black paint and paint the uncovered half of the Styrofoam ball. Insert another layer of thumbtacks to cover the unpainted edges where your brush can’t reach. Then, on the painted part of the ball, use thumbtacks to create vertical lines that gather towards the center.

Create a loop using your craft wire rope. Twist at the bottom and insert beads. Then, puncture this into the Styrofoam ball.

Ornament # 2

Supplies:

  • Styrofoam ball
  • Dried flowers
  • Craft wire rope
  • Wooden beads
  • Acrylic paint
  • Flat head pin

Directions:

Cover your Styrofoam ball with dried flowers. Make sure that no white parts are sticking out.

Insert beads into your craft wire rope and create a loop. Knot a flat head pin at the end of the circle.

Glue the pin and insert it into the Styrofoam ball.

Cover the Styrofoam ball with brown acrylic paint.

Glue the top and bottom ends of your leaves onto the central ends of the ball. Make sure that you leave a bit of space between each leaf. Then, glue inverted leaves on the margins.
