My Son’s teacher needed a gift and I had forgotten about it until the last minute. I saw this DIY gift idea for him or her, and I can say it is the easiest little gift and a super cute way to dress up a gift card. When you purchase the gift card at Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. just ask for an extra cup or two. Then just add some crinkle paper, a bow, and the printable tag and you are good to go! I’m including the printable tag with and without the “Happy Teacher Appreciation!” wording at the bottom. I’m also including a version that says “Have a great summer!” so you could use it as an end-of-the-year gift if you would like too! If you know your teacher is a coffee lover, why stop here? My kids love my handwriting so what better way to send them loving messages than simple chalkboard statements. I repurposed some old wooden rulers adding chalkboard at the center of the frames and drilled some holes for hanging and I can keep everyone in this house posted on what’s for dinner to household chores. You can add ribbon to the cabinet frame to suit any season. I added a rustic branch, leaf and berry garland for my rustic Fall display but Christmas lights look great also. The repurposed wooden ruler chalkboards are perfect year-round. I just love DIY farmhouse decor, don’t you?
This excellent DIY I saw on Pinterest is the cutest, most simple, and inexpensive DIY teacher’s crafts out there. One of my favorite mason jar crafts, that’s for sure. Mason jars, glitter and glue is all you need to get going here. I made a bunch of them with my kids for teache’s gifts this Christmas. We painted our mason jar lids but left a few plain and they looked excellent as well. The kids were so proud to bring their special DIY creations to their teachers, they reacted overwhelmingly joyous when they laid eyes on these DIY creations.
This is the ultimate DIY teacher’s gift in pinch, if you are like me, we forget stuff sometimes. I recently forgot to get my kids teachers a gift until one hour before open house night at the Elk Grove Primary. No, no how did this happen I thought, then the little voice of Pinterest past popped into my head and said drink cups. I just got some lemonade mix, some cups and downloaded and printed these gorgeous straw flags, all and all 30 minutes required to put this DIY teachers gift idea. Stuff these cute DIY glasses with all sorts of creative things.
This is another idea for showing your appreciation for your child’s teacher at the end of the year. I am a big fan of giving gift cards since they are small (easy for the teacher to get home) and useful (teachers LOVE gift cards!). But my creative side cringes at the blah-ness of a regular ole’ gift card. I’m sure many of you can relate here. So here’s a cute little way to give a gift card using a small tin bucket I found in the dollar section at Target! If you need a gift idea that kids can make, this one is super simple.
Sharing a little DIY teacher gift idea today! I love these lanterns I found at Ikea and made this little printable to go along with it. “Thank you for being a light in the life of a child.” This would be great to give during teacher appreciation week, or a the end of the year, or anytime you just want to let the teacher know you appreciate and value them! I also always love to include a gift card for each teacher because I love our teachers. You can download this free lantern teacher gift idea.
I am so sad the school year is coming to an end, we’re already nearing the end of the school year? When my kids have great teachers it’s hard to say goodbye, so sometimes we like to make a little end of school year teacher appreciation gift for them. This pencil vase craft tutorial is an easy and affordable DIY gift that your child’s teacher will love when you fill it with their favorite candy or flowers.
My daughter needed a DIY teacher’s gift this semester so we decided on a DIY cloth kindle cover. A hand sewn laptop case is a great DIY gift idea for the student in your family. I used an 80s retro printed cotton and some leftover blue fabric I had from making a blazer last Fall. I followed this very simple tutorial and it only took about an hour to complete. Of all the DIY laptop cases I’ve seen, this one is my favorite.
My daughter has a great sense of humor and when she saw this DIY teacher’s gift download she had to print it! It’s not a complicated gift but the meaning behind it and gesture sure made her teacher laugh her head off. Her teacher reported that her chill pill jar was empty after the first couple weeks and she had to go to Target to renew her prescription, so if you’re going to gift your child’s new teacher with a chill pill jar this year then be a love and also include a $10 Target gift card so they can renew their prescription as needed.
