Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp salted butter
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 & 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups whole raw pecans

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. Next, melt 6 tbsp of butter on a sheet pan. In a large bowl, separate the egg whites from two large eggs, then whisk them until they’re slightly foamy. To the egg whites, add 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 & 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon. Mix it all up until they’re all well combined. After this, dump all the pecans into the mixture, then fold, making sure all the pecans are well coated.

Step 2

Now, grab your baking sheet with the melted butter, and dump the pecan mixture right onto the tray. Spread them nicely and evenly, then pop them into the preheated oven at 325 degrees F and bake them for ten minutes. After ten minutes, stir everything up, then get them back into an even layer, and put them back in the oven for ten minutes. After this, repeat this cycle one more time, then for the last, stir the pecans, put them back in the oven, and bake for two whole hours.
