Well, who would have ever thought you could do this and it would work? This is a great natural little party trick. I’m always amazed at what people think about doing! Everybody loves clementine oranges, so, after eating one, why not make a candle out of these little guys! What’s even cooler is that it’s so easy to make. As long as you have clementine oranges you’ll never be caught without a candle during a power outage! I always have these little oranges because my kids and I can’t ever get enough of these sweet little jewels. When I saw this picture I thought this would be a cool project to do around Halloween…people will be wondering about these candles when they see they’re not pumpkins! I’ll bet they take a 2nd look!
All he does is score the clementine with a knife and carefully peels away the skin. Then he cuts a star shape (you can do any shape you like) in the top of the clementine skin. He attaches a candle wick (with some tacky glue) into the bottom of the clementine skin and then pours olive oil (or any oil you may have) in after that. Then he lights his wick and puts the top on!
Watch the step by step tutorial to see how he does this.
