This is such a clever and fun craft project that I thoroughly enjoyed doing! What a great way to recycle and repurpose CD’s and/or DVD’s! No two of these are ever exactly the alike. This is so pleasing to the eyes and you will surely enjoy it. I have loved wearing mine and there’s been so many people who have asked me about it.

My teenage daughter has really loved making these and has created some really cool designs with many different colors. She’s invited her friends over and they all made them one afternoon. It was interesting to see how each one of them turned out. They were all so different and beautiful. You can make these to go with all of your different outfits…just let your imagination run wild!

Polymer clay is really cool stuff! I’ve gotten so addicted to making things with it. I don’t know what I did before they came out with this! There is just so much you can do with polymer clay. I saw the coolest necklace on Etsy that had clay feathers with really unique designs painted on them, dangling from a narrow piece of braided leather…so chic! This is my next project!

I love the way she makes the flowers in this tutorial. It’s fascinating the way she rolls up the two colors and cuts the pieces, then she manipulates the clay into flowers. She finishes off the edges with the narrow striped trim at the bottom of it and uses a solid black to finish off the rest of the edges. After she lays her rings on the back of the piece, she finishes off the back of it with a flat black piece and then bakes it at 110 degrees for 20 minutes. I couldn’t wait to do this when I saw her tutorial.

Watch how she does this in her step by step tutorial and have FUN!
