I went to the dollar store and picked up a colander. Then I went to Michael’s and bought the cheapest and largest bottles of acrylic paints. I was surprised at how affordable it was to decorate a couple of spaces in my home that needed something nice hanging on it.

I bought some large canvases when Michael’s had a sale on them and then I used a coupon, so they were really cheap.

This can be kind of messy so you need to make sure to lay down newspapers or a plastic shower curtain to make sure if the paint runs over the sides of your canvas that it doesn’t run over onto something you don’t want paint on.
