A charm bead pen is a one minute assembly job, which makes it a perfect last minute gift. Start with a beadable pen that unscrews, then slide on eight to ten large hole beads: sparkly, glass, birthstones or charm beads in any theme. The beadable section is about 2.5 inches (63 mm), so mix sizes until it fills. Put a smooth stone or glass bead at the bottom where fingers rest so writing stays comfortable. A dangling charm is extra, and that is exactly why people love it.

22. Glitter Hot Glue Keychains
Glitter hot glue keychains use up leftover glue sticks and loose glitter in about the time it takes a glue gun to heat. Draw a shape on parchment paper (cherries, a heart, a flower, a letter) and trace over it with hot glue. Pour glitter over the wet glue, blow off the excess and repeat until the whole design is covered. Peel it off the parchment, poke a small hole at the top and attach a chain and clasp. Work over a tray so the glitter can be reused.

23. Macrame Rose Bracelet
A macrame rose bracelet uses exactly one knot, the square knot, worked over and over in alternating directions so it twists into tiny rosettes. Cut two cords about 4.9 feet each, fold them in half, tie the ends and tape them to the table (a clipboard holds them steadier). Knot until the band wraps the wrist, then braid the tails and tie them off. No hooks or special tools are needed, and once the rhythm clicks, a second bracelet goes even faster than the first.

24. Beaded Flower Bracelet
A beaded flower bracelet looks delicate but uses one simple move: crossing two ends of fishing line through a single bead. Tie the line to a clasp, add a gold bead and cross the ends through it. On each line, thread gold, blue and pearl beads, then cross both through another gold bead to close a flower. Repeat to the length needed, knot both ends through the chain hook and add a dot of hot glue to the knot before trimming. Keeping the line taut keeps flowers even.

25. Origami Heart Bookmark
An origami heart bookmark needs one square of paper and a few minutes, with no glue and no scissors beyond cutting the square. Fold the paper in half both ways to find the center, then fold the bottom edge up to the center line. Flip and fold the corners in, flip again and fold the top corners, then fold the small side triangles. Fold it in half, open and flatten the top, and tuck the corners to round out the heart. Crease every fold firmly with a fingernail.
