Cheerio Quilt Pattern Materials

  • circle cut ruler
  • heat n’ bond
  • 2 layer cakes
  • 1 yard for border

How to Make Cheerio Quilt

Step 1:

Place one layer cake on top of heat n’ bond and iron it. Make sure the iron doesn’t touch any of the sticky stuff. Cut it out. Flip and iron the other side.

Step 2:

Get one of the layer cake with heat n bond and fold it in half. Place your ruler and align it to the fabric fold line. Using a little rotary cutter, run it around the 8″ curve.

For the other block, you just cut another small circle in the center.

Step 3:

Score the back piece of the heat n’ bond of the circle, and peel it off. Place it on top of a layer cake. You can eye ball it or measure to be exact. Iron it in place.

Step 4:

Test the stitch first with a piece of cloth. Adjust the stitches if needed. Using a blanket stitch, stitch the circle right around the edges.

Arrange the two blocks in rows in alternating order.
