You can also use any fabric that you want or stitch together different fabric pieces and make a scrappy version of this doorstop. Just read and follow the instructions written down below, and make sure to watch this video tutorial by OnlineFabricStore on YouTube as well for more details.
Step 1
Cut the fabric into two 9×7½-inch pieces, then stack them together with their right sides facing, and pin them in place. Stitch the sides and bottom with a ¼-inch seam allowance, then pinch the corners so that the seams are lined up as shown in the video, and pin them in place.
Step 2
Draw a line about 1½ to 2 inches from the corner, then stitch along the marked line backstitching from start to finish, and trim off the excess at ¼ inch from the stitching line. Repeat the same steps to the other corner, then turn the piece right side out, and poke the corners nicely.
Step 3
Fill it with rice or other filling that you want, then cut the webbing at about 6 inches long, and fold in the edges of the door stop’s opening about ½ inch. Next, fold the webbing in half, then insert it in the middle of the opening as demonstrated in the video, pin them together, and stitch it close with ¼ inch seam allowance backstitching at the start and finish.
