Safety first. Make sure to wear something to protect your eyes. Remove the handles of the colander using heavy-duty wire cutters.
Attach the lights around the inside of one colander using the cords. Feed them through the holes and tie them. Make sure not to put all the LED lights inside so you can plug them into the wall.
Add a few dots around the edges of the colander with lights, then add dots of hot glue so it will stick immediately to the other piece. Place the other colander on top to make a globe. Let it dry completely for 24 hours.
Wrap the wide ribbon around the center of the two colanders and add hot glue to secure it. Once done, put the accent ribbon in the middle of that wide ribbon.
Make a bow from the wide ribbon. Cut 3 small pieces of wired ribbon of the same size and cut a triangle on both ends of each piece. Do the same for the small ribbon. Glue them on the top of the colander and then attach the bow. You can also add more Christmas decorations such as berries, greenery or flowers.
