Materials:

  • a bunch of 5″ squares
  • rotary cutter
  • iron, for pressing

Directions:

Step 1

To start, lay out your 5″ squares into a nine-patch. Once you’re satisfied with the placement, put the squares, the right sides together, and sew a quarter of an inch. Repeat this until you finish your nine-patch block. After this, cut the block lengthwise and horizontally.

Step 2

Once done cutting, all you need to do is to twist the pieces however you like, throwing in some pieces from a different unit. Once done, sew all the pieces together and press. Repeat these until you have enough units for your quilt top.
