I was baffled when I saw her put plaster chalk in a cake mold…I never dreamed of doing this and it’s a brilliant idea! Leave it to this gal to come up with something so clever!

When I saw this tutorial I immediately went to a thrift store in search of the perfect mirror for this project. I simply had to have one! It’s so incredibly gorgeous and if you’re into Shabby Chic decor, this is perfect! My decor isn’t shabby chic, but my bedroom is very feminine so I thought it would be the perfect touch in there. This would look great in a small bathroom with a pedestal sink too!

This is a very easy DIY project. You might not think so by looking at the end result, but it is very simple to do. And, you get to watch Debi do this…that’s a real treat! She always cracks me up. I love how zany she is.

On another note, I saw a sculpted rose project on Pinterest and she dipped silk roses into the chalk paint, making them look like porcelain roses. This is another option for making your roses for a mirror. So many brilliant DIY’ers out there!

Watch how Debi, with Debi’s Diary does this magnificent mirror in her step by step tutorial and you can start making this extraordinary mirror!

Since I lover experiments, Iโ€™ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
