We all know the struggle of folding a fitted sheet. Sometimes, no matter what I do, it still won’t look nice or still super bulky. It’s just really hard to do, especially with the elastic corners. I am sure you’ve experienced it too. If you don’t do it properly, it will take up space and won’t even lay flat on your closet. So, here’s an awesome tutorial by Andrea Jean Cleaning. She will teach you how to fold a fitted sheet Marie Kondo style.

It’s an easy and fast way to fold your fitted sheets properly. Marie Kondo emphasizes reducing bulk and making things as compact as possible. So, when you store it, it will fit perfectly. The steps are very easy to follow and to remember. At first, it will take you more time, but as you do it regularly, the quicker and easier it gets. Start by laying your fitted sheet on a flat surface with the elastic on top.
Tuck the bottom corners into the top corners just like in the photo below. Get it up as best as you can, then flatten it out.
Fold the folded edge in half just before the elastic part just like in the photo below.
Fold the elastic end over it. Tuck in the edges and flatten it out.
From one end, fold about 1/4 of the sheet, then repeat 3 more times leaving an inch in the end. Once it’s folded, fold the inch end inside and you are done.
