Materials:

  • 1 yard of teal fabric for snowflakes, ¼ yard per snowflake
  • 1 yard of blue fabric for snowflakes, ¼ yard per snowflake
  • 3¼ yards of background fabric
  • 5/8 yard of blue fabric, for sashing
  • 1⅛ yards of teal fabric for sashing
  • ½ yard of binding fabric
  • 4 yards of backing fabric
  • Ruler
  • Marking pen or pencil
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
  • Needle and thread
  • Sewing machine

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the fabric pieces according to what is required in the pattern guide, then after cutting the small squares, use the template to cut the rest of the snowflake pieces, and set them aside. Next, fold the darker blue fabric in half matching the edges, then cut and straighten up the edges, cut them into strips, and then cut them into diamond shapes as shown in the video.

Step 2

Now, create half-square triangles using the white or background fabric and light blue fabric, then you can start assembling the pieces to create your snowflakes, and use the template as a guide. Lastly, add the sashing, border, binding, and backing fabric to finish your quilt. To see more details, watch the video tutorial and print out the pattern.
