Materials:

  • Liberty of London fabric (or any fabric you like)
  • 3 cm wide elastic
  • pen (for marking and tracing)
  • scissors
  • needle and thread

Directions:

Step 1

Get a 3 cm wide elastic and measure it around one of your hands. Mark the elastic and cut the excess part. Next, get the fabric with a measurement of 9 cm x 50 cm. Fold 1 cm to one of the ends of the fabric then fold it in half lengthwise; with the wrong side facing out. Place the elastic on the fabric, then trace it using a pen. Sew the traced line to the sewing machine. Next, after sewing, cut the excess fabric. After this, turn the fabric inside out. Grab your elastic and attach it to a tweezer, carry it across the fabric, then fix the fabric onto the elastic nicely.

Step 2

Leave out a 1.5 cm allowance to one of the ends of the elastic, then mark it using a pen. Place the other end of the elastic to this mark, overlapping them, then sew it manually. Fix the fabric over the sewn part to cover it. After this, sew the fabric to secure it.
