What I love about this quilt block aside from the fact that it’s a great scrap-buster project is that there are a lot of patterns that you can do with it, and you can have so much fun piecing this by using different combinations of fabrics that you want.  This is also a perfect project to practice on for beginners, the steps are very easy to follow and it comes with a free pattern, too!

Materials for Jelly Roll Sizzle Cut-Off Quilt Block:

How to Make Jelly Roll Sizzle Cut-Off Quilt Block:

Step 1

Download and print the pattern, cut all the fabrics to size according to the instructions, and stitch the print strips or jelly roll strips together. Draw the line at the wrong side of the background square diagonally from corner to corner, then place it on top of the strip unit with their right sides facing, and stitch on each side of the line at ½ inches.

Step 2

Cut ¼ inch away from the stitching line on both sides, then press the seams toward the dark fabric or open, cut off the nubs, and trim the half-square triangle into 3½ inches.
