I’m sure this quilt from Patchwork Posse on Youtube is the easiest quilt project you will ever do. In fact, you’ll only need two pieces of square fabric for this project. Quick, easy, and pretty – this is a great quilt block pattern to start, especially if you’re a beginner. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step-by-step instructions.

Materials:

  • 2 pieces of fabric (same size; center and background)
  • ruler
  • pen
  • rotary cutter
  • iron, for pressing

Directions:

Step 1

On the background piece, draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the fabric and repeat it on the other side. Lay it on top of the center piece of fabric, right sides together. Stitch all around the four sides. Now, take your block and pinch the center and pull them apart. Fold it over to a crease and make a little center cut, stick your scissors in there, then cut right along that drawn line. Continue cutting to four corners.

Step 2

After cutting, open them up and iron them out. Cut off the little dog ears. You can also square up the edges at this point.
