I have a couple of jackets with a broken tooth and I thought it was beyond saving until I found this trick by Trefa Craft on YouTube. Out of all the repair tips I’ve seen, this is my favorite method as it was the easiest and quickest. This is also very practical because you won’t need any special tool and you also don’t have to purchase a zipper tooth to replace the ones that are broken.

Materials for Fixing a Zipper:
- Pliers
- Large needle
How to Fix a Zipper with a Broken Tooth:
Step 1
Carefully pull out the zipper tooth at the very top and take out as much as you need, then get a large needle, and insert the zipper tooth pushing it down to widen the gap.
Step 2
Remove the tooth from the needle, then flatten the area without the tooth by pinching it with the pliers, and insert the zipper tooth into it.
Step 3
Make sure that it’s spaced evenly, then pinch it securely and tightly, and repeat as needed until the gap is filled. Try zipping it up and you’re done!
