Preparing these delicious sweet potatoes is easier than you think because you only need 4 simple ingredients and 3 easy steps. Ingredients for Baked Sweet Potatoes:

  • 4 large sweet potatoes
  • 4 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp of coarse salt
  • ¼ tsp of ground black pepper

How to Make Baked Sweet Potatoes:

Step 1

Scrub the sweet potatoes clean until all dirt is gone, then give them a good rinse, and pat them dry with a paper towel. Preheat your oven to 375°F, then place the rack in the center, and place the sweet potatoes over the rack.


Step 2

Let the sweet potatoes bake for about 1½ hours or until soft and caramelizing, then remove them from the oven, and let them cool down enough to hold them.

Step 3

Slash the top of each sweet potato right down the middle, then push the ends toward the center to open the pocket, and place a cube of butter inside each. Season them with salt and pepper, then serve immediately, and enjoy!
