Cornhole is a popular board game among family and friends and is a great activity to bond at, especially during parties, gatherings, or cookouts! This is something I always look forward to whenever the family is complete or my friends are coming over because it never fails to bring out laughter and teasing between groups.

The old cornhole boards that I have at home are already too worn out and broken since it’s made up of wood and I accidentally left it outside during the rainy season. So, I figured that maybe it’s about time to build a new one, and this is also the perfect opportunity to make an LED version like this one by Third Coast Craftsman on YouTube which I’ve been wanting to have for so long!
Cut the wood pieces to size, then install the brace underneath the plywood, and cut a hole at the top center of the board. Sand the edges of the hole, then temporarily reattach the cut-out hole using scrap wood for the brace, and mark out a few inches away from the hole to make a border. Line up the markings with painter’s tape, then place painter’s tape, make a border on all sides of the board and cover the middle of the part you don’t want to paint with newspaper as shown in the video. Proceed to paint the entire piece, then allow the paint to dry completely, and put a sticker at the center if desired. Install the legs and cut it to the right size and angle and you’re done!
