Materials:

  • wine bottle
  • string
  • acetone
  • lighter
  • container with water and ice
  • sandpaper
  • a piece of felt
  • garden soil

Directions:

Step 1

To start, wrap some string around your wine bottle. Next, pour acetone into the string, light it up with a lighter, then quickly submerge it into a container with water and ice after snapping the fire out. Gently twist the wine bottle to separate it into two pieces. Smoothen out the edges using sandpaper.

Step 2

Cut two small holes in the center of a piece of felt, put a string through it, then slip this piece on the upper half of the wine bottle. (Make sure it’s flipped upside down.) After this, fill the bottom half of the bottle with water, then place the upper half on top upside down. Fill the top with some garden soil and transfer your plant.
