For this paper craft, you’ll only need a few simple materials: crepe paper, scissors, a stapler, string, thread, and pom-pom balls. To make cutting the paper easier and faster, I used multi-blade scissors. I highly recommend getting this tool as it’s inexpensive and efficient, especially if you plan to make a lot of marigold paper flowers.

DIY Crepe Paper Marigold Garland Tutorial
Step 1:
Cut six 2¼-inch paper circles, stack them together, and staple them in the center.
Cut fringe along the edges. Then, carefully separate the top circle and scrunch it toward the center.
Step 2:
Separate and scrunch each layer toward the center until you have a paper marigold flower. Scrunch the layers in different directions to make the flower fluffier.
Step 3:
Using a large needle, thread four flowers onto the string, followed by a small white pom-pom. Repeat the pattern to make a garland. The small pom-pom will act as a stopper if you plan to space the flowers apart.
Step 4:
This step is optional. Add paper autumn leaves between the flowers, then hang the finished garland as beautiful fall decor.
