Are you planning to update your bedroom? Make it look fancy with this DIY pool noodle headboard from Melissa Robynne on Youtube! This DIY project is a great way to elevate your outdated room without spending a fortune. Super quick and easy to do, this will not take a day to make and only need a few simple materials. Watch the video tutorial below to learn how.
Materials:
- 5 x 150cm pool noodles
- 160 x 60cm hardboard
- 1 x soma fix spray adhesive and bonding glue
- 1 x gorilla adhesive spray
- 2 x upcycled picture frame hooks
- 2 x picture frame hangers
- 2m velour fabrics
Directions:
Step 1
Cut your pool noodles into three equal pieces, then split them in half to create enough pieces to stick flat to your hardboard. Next, to secure your pool noodles to your base, spray soma fix adhesive as well as the bonding glue to make sure that the pool noodles and the wood would stuck together well. After this, cover the pool noodles with your chosen fabric. Use the gorilla glue to secure them together and push the fabric flat into the grooves of the pool noodles with a ruler. Make sure that you don’t have any creases as this is a very fast-drying glue.

Step 2
Next, secure the leftover pieces of fabric to the back of the board using the gorilla glue and then drill pilot holes into the back of the board. Then, pick up some upcycled picture frame hooks and attached them to the back of the board to hang on the wall. Your DIY headboard is now finished!
