There are many patterns out there if you can’t find this specific one. This pattern has the perfect balance of machine and hand sewing. I love how on one of her fabric Christmas tree, she adds small little ornaments to add extra holiday bling. I think this is a creative way to add a holiday personal touch decor to your house. Supplies:

  • 7/8 yard of cotton quilting fabric
  • Cotton Thread
  • PolyFil stuffing
  • Felt
  • Embroidery Floss
  • Christmas Tree Pattern (the one in the tutorial is Simplicity 9649. It can still be found on Etsy and eBay)
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Straight Pins
  • Disappearing Ink Pen
  • Hand Sewing Needle
  • Sewing Machine

Directions:

First, turn the fabric right side together with two thicknesses of the fabric. Fold in half selvage to selvage. Trace, mark, and cut out the pattern piece. Use a disappearing ink pen or chalk and mark the openings along the bottom of the trees and mark the apex of the stitch lines around the tree shape.
