I simply adore this technique and have used it on bird houses, mailboxes, tables and a few other items. This makes a fabulous gift…people love anything done like this…especially if you made it for them!
With one of my past mosaic projects I used some stones from the creek, close to my house, a few tiny shells, an old necklace, and some random pieces of old jewelry. I tinted the grout a pale blush color. Though it looks fragile, it’s really quite sturdy and would make a beautiful addition to any room in your home, just like the one I’m sharing with you, in this post today, will.
A few weeks ago I came up with a new idea for a cool planter. I got this idea in my head that I wanted to wrap a metal bucket in river rocks to turn it into a beach inspired planter with crazy cool texture. I wasn’t 100% sure the idea would work but it actually did. So, don’t be afraid to try this out on different items…most likely it will work!
I really love the way natural pebble mosaics look that are done with a natural colored grout. It’s a beautiful way to accessorize your home decor! It’s so rich looking.
