I love working on quilt projects that incorporate dark and bright fabrics together because I love how the colors complement each other and make the pattern pop. This particular project by Missouri Star on YouTube is a quilt made out of a collaboration by Jenny Doan and Rob Appell, and it was immediately a favorite of mine.
RELATED: Easy Lore Quilt Block Tutorial
You might think this was a complicated quilt block to make until you watch the video tutorial below, I’m sure you’ll be surprised to know that this was very easy to piece together that even beginners can try it. If you want to learn how now, then go ahead and read the written instructions down below, and give it a try to see for yourself!
Cut the print squares in half diagonally from corner to corner, then use the template to cut the solid squares, and separate the pieces making sure to keep them sorted out in piles because they are not interchangeable. Get the solid fabric wedge at the center, then lay it in between 2 print triangles, and stitch them together. Press the seams nicely, then use the wedge template to cut off the excess on each print side, stitch the solid triangle on either side and press nicely. Trim off the excess, then stitch the print triangle on either side, trim, press, and stitch the final solid triangle on each side. Square the block, then give it a final press, and you’re done!
