In this step by step tutorial, Moonkin Stitchery will teach you how to make this gorgeous quilt pattern. It’s so easy, you might manage to finish this in less than a day. It’s one of those quick quilts you can make, especially if you need something for gift-giving or an easy quilt to pass the time. Learn how by watching the video below for the step by step instructions.
For each 42-count 10″ square, cut one 7″ x 9″ rectangle, one 2 1/2″ x 5″ rectangle, and two 2 1/2″ squares. Repeat these cuts to all of your 42 10″ squares. Once you have everything cut, go ahead and mix up your 2 1/2″ squares and keep the remaining rectangles in the same print. After this, sew everything back together. Start by sewing the 2 1/2″ squares with a 1/4″ seam allowance, then take that unit and sew it to the 2 1/2″ x 5″ rectangle. Finally, take that unit and sew it into the larger rectangle to make a 9″ square. Repeat these steps until you have 42 quilt blocks.
Once you have all your blocks, it’s time to assemble them. Lay and rotate each block 90 degrees in a 6 x 7 block layout, then sew the blocks together to form rows. After this, sew those rows together to complete the quilt top.
