The moment that I saw this quilt pattern by Missouri Star on YouTube, I immediately knew that this one was going to be included in my all-time favorites list. This ribbon quilt is a very simple and neat idea, and you can use this block to make any project that you want such as a table topper, runner, and more.

Step 1
Pick 6 identical squares from the pack or cut them using a single fabric instead, then cut the background fabric into squares at 2½ inches, and draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the background squares from corner to corner.
Step 2
Place two of the squares on opposite corners of one print square, then make sure their right sides are facing as shown in the video, and stitch them along the line. Trim off the excess ¼ inch away from the stitching line, then open the fabric, and press the seams toward the darker fabric.
Step 3
Do the same for the rest of the pieces, then arrange the block units together as demonstrated in the video to form the ribbon, and stitch them by pair. Stitch the pairs to each other and iron the block nice and flat, then add the sashing, border, backing, and quilt however you want.
