Looking for a fun project to do this weekend? If you are, look no further than this DIY sun catcher wind chime. I absolutely love this idea by Clarisa Guerrero. I had plenty of mason jar lids at home and didn’t know what to do with them. That’s why I was so happy when I saw her video tutorial on YouTube. I finally found the perfect project for them.

If you have old mason jar lids you no longer use, you should definitely try this simple DIY project. It’s easy to make and lovely to look at when hanging on a tree. You can decorate each one however you like. You can even put your favorite flowers! Be as creative as you want to be.

Gently peel the contact paper and lay it on a paper stick side up. Tape the edges on the paper to keep it in place.
Place the mason jar lids on your contact paper. Trace the mason jar lids with a pen.
Grab the flowers and leaves and place them onto the contact paper onto the sticky side. Arrange them however you like.
Take the other piece of contact paper, peel, and place sticky side down. Press it down flat.
Cut out the traced circles.
Cut a piece of twine and tie to both ends of the driftwood so you can hang it.
Attach three strings to the driftwood. You can do them in the same or different lengths. Tie the ends to the mason jar lids.
Place the circles inside the mason jar lids.
