I haven’t tried pour-painting before but it was a technique that I’ve been hearing for a while now. I’ve seen a couple of projects that have been painted this way but this is the first time that I’m going to do it on my own.

It’s also a good thing that this video tutorial by One Little Project on YouTube chose terra cotta pots to decorate because I’ve also been preparing my garden for a while now. This is one of the best crafts I’ve ever done in a while and I loved making it!
Step 1
Paint the outside of the pot with white acrylic, then allow it to dry completely, and then place a piece of tape on the inside of the pot to cover the hole at the bottom.
Step 2
Plan and choose the colors that you want to combine, then pour a generous amount of paint on a disposable plastic cup starting from the lightest color, and keep adding paint alternately as you prefer until the cup is full.
Step 3
Prepare your work surface, you can use a cloth or a tray and cover it with plastic, then once ready, place the pot upside down on the prepared work surface, and begin pouring the layered paint over the pot.
Step 4
If the paint starts pooling at the top, gently push them over the side using the edge of a popsicle stick, then allow the pot to dry completely untouched overnight.
