Doing a renovation and DIY project are also common reasons for getting rust stains on your clothing. It is a bit challenging to get rid of the stains as they don’t get removed with just regular washing.

Md. Mridul Kabiraz on YouTube shared a simple tip on how to remove rust stains from clothes. The process is quick and easy and only requires a few household products. You only need a liquid toilet cleaner, detergent, and an old toothbrush to remove those stubborn stains.

Make sure to wear gloves first. Apply liquid toilet cleaner on the areas with rust stains and let it sit for just 1 minute. You don’t need to add too much. Do not let it sit for more than a minute as it can damage the fabric.
Gently brush the areas using an old toothbrush and detergent until all the rust stains are removed.
Rinse your clothes with water. If there are still some rust stains, repeat step 2 until they are all removed.
