It is actually super easy to make your potatoes crispy. You are just probably missing two steps that’s why they always turn out soft and soggy. You have to make sure to remove the starch, so make sure not to skip step 2. It is very important to achieve the crunchy and crispy potatoes that you are looking for. These are perfect for parties, gatherings, or just a movie night at home. These oven-baked potatoes will surely be a crowd favorite.

Start by thoroughly washing the skin of the potatoes. Remove dirt as much as you can. Slice the potatoes into wedges and place in a bowl.
Fill the pot with water and toss them to get rid of the starch, then drain. Next, pour some cold water with ice to make the potatoes really crispy. Let them rest for about 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, drain the potatoes and pat them dry.
Pour melted butter, then season with salt, paprika, garlic powder, chili flakes, pepper, and some of the chopped herbs. Toss everything to coat.
Add a little bit of cornstarch and toss until well incorporated.
Transfer the potatoes to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place inside a preheated oven at 400F for about 40 minutes. Flip the sides halfway through.
Garnish with the remaining chopped herbs. Serve and enjoy.
