3 Genius Ways to Re-use Leftover Candle Wax

If you have lots of leftover candle pieces that are too small and you don’t know what to do with them, you’re not alone, I’ve also been through that and you can only imagine the number of leftover candle pieces I’ve thrown out thinking they are of no use anymore. That is until I found this video tutorial Cleverly on YouTube and I wish I knew about it sooner because I could’ve repurposed those candles into new ones again! So, if you’re considering throwing out those old candles, think twice, and watch this video tutorial first.
Materials:
Multicolored Candle
- Juice carton
- Candlewick
- Candle wax in assorted colors
Anti-Mosquito Candle
- Candle wax
- Candlewick
- Paper cup
- Wooden skewer
- Citronella oil
- Glass candle holder
Waterproof Shoes
- White candle wax
- Hair dryer
Directions:
Multicolored Candle
Grab a rinsed juice carton and make sure that the inside is dried, then insert a long piece of wick, and set it aside. Gather the leftover candle wax, then melt them until liquid, and pour it into the juice carton. Once the wax had dried and set, melt another batch of leftover wax of a different color, then pour it on top of the solidified wax, and repeat the process with the rest of the colors that you have. Allow them to dry and solidify completely, then carefully cut the carton, and peel it off. Lastly, trim the wick to about ¼ inch high from the candle and you’re done.

Anti-Mosquito Candle
Grab a small paper cup, then insert a candle wick placing it at the center, and tie the end to a wooden skewer placed on top of the cup to hold it up. Melt the leftover candle wax together, then add a few drops of citronella oil, and stir them together. Pour the wax into the paper cup, then allow it to cool and set completely, and remove the cup. Lastly, trim the wick, then place the candle on a glass candle holder, and you’re done.
Waterproof Shoes
Take a white candle wax, then rub it all over your shoes, grab a hair dryer, and heat up the candle-covered shoes until the wax melts and adheres to your shoes. Once done, set them aside and allow them to sit for a few minutes. Test the shoes by splashing a few drops of water to see if it works.
