Place fabric 2 on top of fabric 1 and align one of the edges wrong sides together. Secure them with pins.
Pull the top of fabric 2 and align it on the top of fabric 1. Secure it with pins.
Sew fabric 2 on top and bottom edge with a 0.4-inch seam allowance. Once done, press the seams open with an iron.
Arrange the table runner, so that fabric 2 is in the middle.
Fold it in half lengthwise, then secure it with pins. Sew the edges with a 0.4-inch seam allowance. Do the same for the other side.
Open the folded edge and make it into a triangular shape. Press the seams using an iron. Do the same for the other end of the table runner. You can fold it in half to make a crease and check if the seams of the ends align with the center of the table runner.
Sew the tassels on the inside of the pointed corners, then knot them 2 to 3 times to secure them.
Flip the triangles on both sides with the right sides out, then press them with an iron to flatten them.
Make a blind stitch on the ends of the triangular ends.
