Materials:

  • salt
  • citric acid
  • apple cider vinegar

Directions:

Step 1

To start, grab some table salt and put it down into your drain. (This works well in any sink in your house, especially if you have a stinky garbage disposal.) The amount of salt depends upon the clog size. If you’re doing this as a preventative, do at least a tablespoon. Next, grab some citric acid and get a teaspoon down the drain as well.

Step 2

Once you’re done, leave and let everything sit overnight. The next morning, pour some apple cider vinegar down your drain. (It will work much faster if you boil down your apple cider vinegar.)
