#1 Cleaning the toilet tank hands-free

You might often forget to clean toilet tanks because they are the least of the priority. But cleaning this part is also as important as the other parts of the bathroom. To clean toilet tanks efficiently, first, empty the tank, then pour half a cup to a full cap of citric acid into the tank. Follow this with some super hot water. Leave it for about an hour so the citric acid could do its thing.

#2 Cleaning the Tight Spots

These parts are the hardest to clean. But using a butter knife, it’s a lot better as it’s the perfect tool to get into the cracks and the crevices. Take a paper towel and wrap it around the butter knife and you can now easily and effectively get into tight spots. For hinges and screws, you can use q tips. An old toothbrush works well too. A trick: put clear nail polish on exposed holes or screws every three to six months. This will prevent the dirt from getting down into those little holes and crevices.

#3 Cleaning the Toilet Bowl

Water rings can make your toilet look dirty even though you have already scrubbed it a million times. These things are a big no-no. For this, you can use a scouring stick. You just have to scrub lightly and it will melt away the hard water stains.
