Time flies! That’s what this DIY project is called and for a good reason! You won’t believe what she does after she puts a butterfly on a clock. I’ve never seen anything so cool and wanted to share this with you today…it’s so fascinating!

Mr. Kate came up with this project because she needed a clock for her office. At work, time tends to drag instead of fly so this whimsical and sculptural decor element is both functional and encouraging!

You can create this DIY project to fit in with a variety of interior color schemes by choosing a different clock and butterfly colors. A rainbow of butterflies would be fantastic in a kid’s room!

When I saw this I just had to make it! I put mine in the perfect place in our home, since we were needing a clock in the living room, there’s a perfect little niche that this was a perfect place for it.

Here’s what you’ll need:

* Wall clock * Black fabric spray paint

* 3m scotch mounting squares

* Martha Stewart butterfly craft punch (from Michael’s)

* Matte black card stock

* Feather butterflies (I used ones from Michael’s, but you can find them at most craft stores)

* Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Watch how Mr. Kate does this in her step by step tutorial…it’s fabulous!
