Ingredients:

  • 1 (28 oz) bag frozen skinny french fries
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 20 slices Kraft single cheese slices
  • sour cream
  • green onions
  • pico de gallo
  • jalapenos
  • green onions

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Line a deep baking tray with parchment paper, then evenly spread out one bag of frozen fries. Place the tray in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, pull out the tray and season the fries with some salt. Put it back in the oven and bake for a further 12 minutes. In the meantime, make the cheese sauce. In a large pan over medium-high heat, add 1 lb of ground beef and the diced onion. Cook until the meat is browned, then season it with 3 tbsp taco seasoning, 1/4 tsp each salt, and ground black pepper. Lastly, add 1/4 cup water and stir all together. Simmer for a few minutes, then turn off the heat and set aside.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter, then add 2 tbsp all-purpose flour. Whisk continuously for a minute, then pour 1 cup of milk while stirring. Once boiling, go ahead and add 20 slices of Kraft single cheese slices. Keep stirring until all the cheese slices are melted. Season with 1/2 tsp chili powder, then turn off the heat. Once done, drizzle the cheese sauce over the baked fries followed by the ground beef mixture. Then, drizzle the sour cream over the ground beef, then the pico de Gallo, jalapenos, and green onions. Serve and enjoy!
