Searching for your next quilt project? If you are, I have a wonderful suggestion for you! This summer stars picnic quilt by Missouri Star is the perfect pattern for this season. Isn’t it lovely? I like that it is different from all the patterns I did before. Most of the time, the blocks are arranged alternately, not in rows like this one, which makes it so refreshing and new for me.

This pattern combines two simple blocks – the wonky star block and the summer in the park block. If you haven’t heard of the second block before, check this tutorial: Summer in the Park Quilt Using Jelly Rolls.  You will easily finish this quilt as both blocks are easy to make. The star blocks don’t need to be perfect that is why they are called wonky stars. Give this pattern a try and use it for your next picnic!
