To make this buttercream icing, you only need butter, icing sugar, milk, and flavoring. You can either choose vanilla essence or extract. If you don’t have much time and need to frost several cupcakes quickly, go for this recipe. You can also store this buttercream. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and place in the fridge. It can last for up to 2 weeks. Just let it come to room temperature and re-whip it, before using.

Add one cup of softened butter in a large bowl, followed by two cups of icing sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1 tablespoon of milk. Mix them using a hand mixer on low speed for about 10 seconds until just combined.
Turn the speed to high and whip for another 50 seconds or so. It’s ready when it’s lighter in color and fluffier in consistency. Use a spatula to scrape the sides and mix them all together. Mix it for 5 seconds more until well combined. After that, your icing is ready! Transfer it to a piping bag and squeeze onto your cake or cupcakes.
