The quilt as you go method is so easy and makes so much sense if you don’t want to spend a load of time quilting in the traditional quilt top first method. I love doing quilt as you go blocks, but I came to an abrupt halt when I actually had to join my blocks together because they are a little bulky because they already contain the batting, so you may want to learn this method to ensure an even transition from block to the blanket. I first got my pre-quilted blocks together and cut long strips of fabric 1 inch wide, it doesn’t matter how long they are, they just need to fit.
