Cutting:

Cut solid fabric into:

  • 32 – 9 1/2″ x 10″ rectangles (fabric B)

Cut binding fabric into:

  • 8 – 2 1/2″ width of fabric strips (fabric C)

Directions:

Step 1

Take two fabrics A, sew them together, then press open. Next, take a background fabric B, place it right sides together, then sew a 1/4″ seam away from the edge of both top and bottom. Once done, turn the block, and cut it in half, parallel to the two stitch lines. Press them open afterward, creating two unique blocks from each.

Sew them together and make five rows. For the second row, change the block placement, press, and make four. Lay all your rows and press.
