When an insect of any size crawls through diatomaceous earth, it will rip the exoskeleton and the insect will die. However, it is completely safe for pets and humans and is often used to deworm dogs.
Materials For Vacuuming Bed Bugs:
- A bag of food-grade Diatomaceous Earth (you want food grade, not the kind for pools and whatnot)
- A vacuum cleaner
- A pair of pantyhose
- A pair of scissors
