Materials:

  • 1 & 1/2″ thick foam
  • a thin layer of fiber
  • foam glue
  • brown vinyl
  • staple gun

Directions:

Step 1

Spray foam glue to the fiber and foam and attach it to the wood base. Next, attach the brown vinyl on top and fix it on the sides. If it fits well, lock all four corners first, then do the middle with a staple gun. Once you’re done locking the middle of the bench with a few staples, you can start upholstering it.

Step 2

Take time fixing the vinyl below so the corners will fit through and it will be easier to staple. When you’re happy and there’s no crease, you can now double-staple the whole area. Make sure that the edges are lined up straight when you pull it. Also for the back area, it goes the same way. You want to make sure that the consistency of the poll is even. Fold the top on the sideband. This way, it will give off a nice clean finish. Lastly, cut off any fabric that is long off.
