Piping can really make your sewing projects look very professional and add a wonderful finishing touch to anything you make. I always thought that piping was hard to add to a sewing project, but when I found this awesome video tutorial by Sewway, on YouTube, my eyes were really opened to how easy it was to use piping in my projects, and you don’t even have to use any cord for this piping idea.

Materials For Piping Without Cord:

  • 2 large pieces of fabric
  • 1 strip of fabric (you can use bias tape or cut your own strip)
  • A sewing machine
  • Thread
  • An iron
  • An ironing board

Directions:

In this awesome video tutorial by Sewway, on YouTube, you will learn how to apply custom piping to any sewing project. You will basically sew the extra strip inside of the two pieces of fabric like a sandwich. You will start by sewing the strip to one side and then sew it to the other piece. It is basically a seam join.
