If you love to work out or do a lot of physical activities, your shoes probably have that bad smell from sweat and build-up bacteria. I have the exact problem, as I regularly go to the gym to exercise or do some sports when I have free time. I found these super easy techniques by Duke City Kicks on how to remove odors from shoes permanently. At first, I wasn’t sure if these would work, but they actually did. They smell way better than before. Of course, you can wash your shoes, but constant washing can damage them. If you don’t have time to wash them, you should try these. Here are three simple tips to solve your problem:

Tip 1:

Take plain old dryer sheets and insert them into each pair of shoes. This method help collects moisture and improves the smell of your shoes. Leave them overnight.

Tip 2:

Put a teaspoon of baking soda and put inside the sole. Shake it well so it will spread on the sole and the sides of the shoes. Once done, dump the excess baking soda out of the shoe. It will help dry the shoe the same way as the dryer sheet. Just remember that it will make some white stains on your shoe. After a few wear, it will probably be gone.

Tip 3:

For the third method, you need rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls. This will help kill the bacteria that is causing odor in your shoes. Put a good amount of rubbing alcohol into a cotton ball and rub it on the inside of the shoe. You can take out the insole to make the process easier. Make sure to rub the top line and lining. Do it on both shoes. That’s it!
