Materials:

  • Small nail
  • Egg tray
  • Paper towel
  • Toothpick
  • Straw
  • Bowl

Directions:

Step 1

Before anything else, make sure to give the eggshells a good wash and rinse in hot water just to make sure that you get rid of any germs. Then after patting them dry, place the egg on an egg tray lined with a paper towel. Using a small nail, poke a hole on the very top of the egg, press down until you crack the shell, then push it all the way in. Move the nail several times to break the yolk inside, then switch to a toothpick and insert it in the same hole to continue breaking the yolk inside.

Step 2

Once you’re done breaking the raw egg inside the shell, turn it upside down. Then, use the same nail to rock back and forth while applying light pressure on the top of the eggshell, poke a slightly bigger hole in it. Start to blow air on the larger hole to let the raw egg come out of the smaller hole, if it’s not coming out then you can make the hole a little larger so that the raw could slide out easier, you can also try inserting a straw on the hole and blow air through it. Now the eggshells are ready to be dyed.
