Gold leaf can add dimensionally-textured richness to many different styles of DIY projects. I have used gold leaf for many different kinds of projects, like adding a finishing touch to the ornamental detail on a piece of chalk painted furniture. I have been seeing it used in some alcohol ink art, but when I found this tulip painting with gold leaf video tutorial by Color By Feliks on YouTube, I really wanted to try this gold leaf method. The way Feliks does this gold leaf application looks so easy because he literally sticks the gold leaf to the wet paint. After the paint dries Feliks just lightly brushes off the excess gold leaf wit a foam head craft paintbrush. The result of this finishing gold leaf touch is just phenomenal looking.
