Moving is not a favorite activity for anyone, but when I found this wonderful video tutorial by Emily Norris, on YouTube, describing all these simple hacks that could make your move so much easier, I had to share it. One of the first tips Emily describes is the fact that no one should pay for boxes. There are plenty of supermarkets and liquor stores that will be very happy to give you boxes, and they have a fresh supply every day.

Tips And Hacks For Moving House Easily:

• One very important thing that will make your move go much more smoothly is to start decluttering a few weeks before your move. Start getting rid of old clothing, kitchen items, old food, and bathroom accessories that you no longer need, so you won’t be hauling anything useless from the old place to the new place.
• Get a dumpster for the driveway to use for all your unwanted items.
• Use your vacuum cleaner in reverse mode to suck the air out of trash bags filled with clothing.
• Put trash bags over groups of hanging clothes to protect them in the moving truck.
• Take photos of items that have been curated, so you can set them up in the same exact way when you arrive at the new place.

My very favorite hack was putting bulky sweaters and such in trash bags, then using your vacuum in reverse suction mode to get all of the air out.
