When I saw this seasonal acorn people video tutorial by Martha Stewart, on YouTube, I just fell in love. I love making miniatures, and fairy gardens, I just cannot believe the joy that building a little world can bring to a person. I was thinking of a little miniature Fall display in the kitchen that could add a lot of interest to my usual Thanksgiving fair, so I decided to give this project a go. I had several wood slices and some faux leaves from Michael’s craft store, that was going to really set the stage for this project very nicely. I had to make one little tweak on the acorn people’s features, I decided to use thin yarn for their hair.

Materials Foe The Seasonal Acorn People:

  • Acorns
  • Wooden beads
  • Map pencils
  • A pair of scissors
  • A hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • Faux leaves
  • Yarn

Directions:

In this seasonal acorn people video tutorial by Martha Stewart, on YouTube, you will learn how to make these simple acorn people in a couple of easy steps. You begin by taking your acorn’s hat off, then glue it to the wooden bead. Then, you will place a glue dot where the bead hole is and attach the acorn to use as a body for the acorn person.

Then, you will color in some features with the map pencils, and start setting up your gorgeous Fall scene.
